Temporary Tattoos
Decorative and spiritual uses
Tattoos have served as rites of passage, marks of status and rank, symbols of religious and spiritual devotion, decorations for bravery, sexual lures and marks of fertility, pledges of love, punishment, amulets and talismans, protection, and as the marks of outcasts, slaves and convicts. The symbolism and impact of tattoos varies in different places and cultures, sometimes with unintended consequences. Also, tattoos show how a person feels about another person, or how they feel about a relative, preferably mother/father or daughter/son.

Blue Q TattoosReviewsThese are HILARIOUS and so real that my parents believed that all the grand-kids got tattoos in honor of their 80th birthdays! We almost couldn't convince my parents that they were fake until all eight grand-kids gathered to sport these "grand" tattoos. The "Whose Your Grand Daddy" tattoo was TOO CONVINCING, we had to fess up before they had a coronary! The sizes of the tattoos were perfect and several made absolute great tramp stamps. They were the hit of the party, and now my mom is going to use the "Born to Ride" on the back of her neck for their 60th wedding anniversary coming up April 1st. No joke. Buy these tattoos. Well worth the laughs, but WARNING! If applied correctly, they look TOO REAL!!!! This Blue Q Tattoos For The Elderly set of tattoos is cute and funny for some but maybe offensive to others. Tattoos are stickers on a sheet, about 15 total. There are sayings with false teeth in a glass that read "bite me", a scooter that reads "born to ride", adult diapers that read "out of control", a 7 day medicine holder with a snake wrapped around it, and some skulls and crossbones that read "retirement home boy", "arthritis sucks", and a ribbon that reads "really old school". Funny for a gag gift for the holidays or birthday. Very inexpensive, but not for everyone. Safer for a 40th or 50th birthday, in my opinion. Any senior adult with a great sense of humor would have fun with these tattoos. I recently wore a few "tattoos" for a ladies weekend at the beach. We had a great time! The tattoos were gone in 3 days, but were great fun along the way. I still have a few left and ordered another set for friends. Will also purchase some sets for Christmas gifts for my fun senior friends! Average Rating:![]() |

Fred To-Do TattooReviewsI was given this as a present and I was THRILLED when I opened it up - I thought it was the best idea ever. But when I applied it the surface remained very sticky (like the gumminess left behind when you remove a bandaid). I washed it carefully but couldnt get rid of the adhesive. I tried talc to try and seal the stickiness, that didn't work. I tried alcohol, hand lotion but the lines started rubbing off - without taking off the sticky stuff. So I don't know what to do now. This item was purchased as a gift for a friend who is forever and always writing herself notes and reminders on her hand. It was more a fun gift rather than a practical one, but I haven't heard yet how well they work. If you're looking for a practical reminder system, you're probably better off with a mini digital recorder or a note pad in your purse. If you're looking for a fun gag gift that someone can actually *use* though, this is sure to be a hit. I'm a life-long palm list writer! I thought it would be funny to get these so all the people that laugh at the notes on my palm would get a laugh. Well, they are awful. You feel like you have a sticky (both sides) piece of bandage on your palm, the "To Do" quickly sticks to itself and just looks messy. Save you $$ Average Rating:![]() |

Today, people choose to be tattooed for cosmetic, sentimental/memorial, religious, and magical reasons, and to symbolize their belonging to or identification with particular groups, including criminal gangs (see criminal tattoos) but also a particular ethnic group or law-abiding subculture. Some Māori still choose to wear intricate moko on their faces. In Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand, the yantra tattoo is used for protection against evil and to increase luck.
